A Treaty (Berit, Covenant, Amana)
Between Jews and Greeks
Who Are Believers in
Adonai Yeshua haMashiach,
The Lord Jesus Christ.
We invite in this
particular Jew & Greek Covenant, (Treaty, Berit, Amana),
of UNITY, love, and friendship, all Greek and Jewish believers in
Yeshua ha Mashiach, The Lord Jesus Christ, who desire to come. This
covenant is made on an individual personal basis, without excluding the
believers of Ecclesiastical Bodies. We would hope that entire churches,
or various Christian ministries or organizations, would make and subscribe
to this covenant.
We, as Greek
believers in Iesous Christos, Jesus Christ, recognize that
in our Greek-speaking countries, about the 2nd century A.D. and afterwards,
were laid the foundations of Christian anti-Semitism by the teachings of the
Greek Church Fathers. As Greek Christians, and conscious believers in
Jesus Christ, we repent for this primeval sin of our Church. We recant the
theory of Replacement Theology that considers that the Greek nation, or more
generally the Church as having replaced in God’s plan the people of Israel,
and we propose a special orthodox covenant between Greek and Jewish
believers in Christ Jesus. We desire that this covenant may be extended
more widely among all Jews and Greeks, and that this covenant may influence
the relations of our two nations in all sectors: Religious, political,
scientific and
cultural, because there will be good and beneficial results to both of our
nations
according to the eternal truth and the eternal promise of God's Word. (Genesis
12:3).
We want the Greeks
and the Jews to feel united, as are united the Writings of
the Old Testament (written in Hebrew) and the New Testament (written in Greek).
The Holy Bible for the Gentile Christians, as for the Messianic Jews, is Οne
Book written in these two languages in the prototype texts. In a similar way,
we want the Jew and Greek believers to also feel united, like The Book of books.
The proposal of
this Treaty (Covenant) has a Biblical and ancient origin. It is
based on the treaty (covenant) made between Abraham and Abimelech
(Genesis 21:22-34), and between Isaac and Abimelech (Genesis 26:26-33).
Abimelech was the king of the Philistines. We see also that Abraham had
made another treaty (covenant) with Aner, Eshcol and Mamre the Amorites,
who helped him in the war against some kings from the east, who took Lot,
his nephew, and his family, prisoners (Genesis 14:13,24).
During history, an
exchange of letters is reported between the High Priest
Jonathan and the king of Sparta Areios, where it is referred that Spartans and
Jews are brother nations and both come from Abraham (1st Maccabees 12:21).
There, it is reported that the Spartans asked the Jews to make an alliance and
be friends with them. The Jews decided to send ambassadors to Sparta so that
they may renew the fraternal and friendly relations between them.
(1st Maccabees 12:5-23).
New probates of
the Covenant of Moses were made with God before Christ
(before the Common Era) by the Jewish people during the kingdoms of Josiah
(2 Kings 23:3, 2 Chronicles 34:31), Asa (2 Chronicles 15:12), and during the
period of Nehemiah (Nehemiah 10:1, 29).
Therefore, a
reconfirmation of an existing covenant by a subsequent generation,
is not something strange, unusual or unbiblical. It is Orthodox in every sense
of
the word. So, we do not consider that what we are doing is something new. It
is a new confirmation of the New Testament of our Lord, a treaty (covenant)
already existing among all Christians. Therefore, this treaty of UNITY we are
subscribing is a reconfirmation of our Covenant, (NewTestament, Treaty) as
Christians, which is based on the New Covenant, (Jer 31:31), New Testament,
made by our Lord Jesus Christ through His sacrifice on the Cross (Luke 22:20,
1 Corinthians 10:16-18). This covenant agrees with His prayer to the Father
for the unity of all believers, and especially between Jews and Gentiles
(John 17:20-23). Moreover, we declare as Believing Gentiles that we are part
of the commonwealth of Israel and partakers of the testaments of the promise
to Israel (Ephesians 2:11-22 and Ephesians 4:2-6).
This Holy Unity
was lost during the centuries because of OUR SIN of our
Greek church fathers, and we ended up being estranged. Therefore, those
among the people of Israel believing in the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ,
and us believers among the Greek people, confirm officially that WE ARE
ONE IN THE MESSIAH, reconciled in His love and peace, by the propitiation
of the blood of the Only Begotten Son of God! So, if the Greek people think,
believe and claim to be Christians, meaning that they believe in the Lord
Jesus Christ and in His Gospel, they must fulfill the prayer of our Lord,
and accept and believe the aforementioned words of the apostle Paul to
the Ephesians, and change completely their attitude, relationship and
behavior toward Israel.
“There is nothing
new", therefore, “under the sun”. What we want to make
is not a new thing between Greeks and Jews. Therefore the Jew & Greek
Treaty of 2010 that we hereby subscribe consists of these things:
“We Greek
Christians, as well as ALL Gentile Christians from any nation,
who undersign our names, declare before God the following:
1) We want to be
united in spirit and soul, and as much as possible also
materially, with our Jewish brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus and to be
as One People in the Lord. (Ephesians 2:11-18).
2) We promise to
pray for the Jewish nation, and for the peace and the
prosperity of Jerusalem (Ps. 122:6, 48:1-3, and Psalm 83), which we
consider to be the united and indivisible capital of the Jewish nation.
3) We pray for the
blessing, return and faith of all the nation of Israel in
its Messiah (Romans 11:11, 12, 15, 25, 26), that is Jesus from Nazareth,
the Only Begotten Son of God, our Saviour, Redeemer, Lord and King,
the glory of the people of Israel (Luke 2:32), who is to come to reign from
Jerusalem as the Lion of Judah over all humanity (Revelation 5:5).
4) During all our
life, in our relations with our compatriots and with all
people we will pursue the good of the people of Israel, and renounce,
and stand in opposition to, any and all forms of Anti-Semitism.
5) We implore,
humbly ask forgiveness, and we express our sorrow,
because before the coming of Christ, in the kingdom of the Seleucids,
the Greek-Syrian kingdom, a Greek king one of the successors of Alexander
the Great’s generals, Antiochus Epiphanes, together with his soldiers, made
war against the Jewish people and the believers of those times, and did
kill, plunder and murdered their princes the Maccabees, and other Jews,
and did try to impose idolatry and polluted with abominations and idols the
Temple of God (1, 2, 3, 4 books of Maccabees). We also repudiate, with
feelings of disgust everything some Greeks did in the name of their
idolatrous false religion and Hellenism, we dissociate from them, and we
humbly ask forgiveness from the Jewish people and from the God of Israel,
asking Him to heal everything that caused enmity and hard feelings
between Greeks and Jews, which influenced our relations in history. We
ask forgiveness for every sin, conscious or unconscious, we committed
against the people of Israel, even for those which we will commit perhaps
in the future, since as humans, we are sinners and always prone to sin.
6) As Christians
we renounce the Replacement Theology that considers
that the Church has replaced the nation of Israel as the chosen people in
God's plan for humanity. We specifically promise, as Greek conscious
Christians, to declare worldwide to the Universal Church that we committed
a historical error, and we DID SIN, when we established the basics of the
Replacement Theology and caused the Church to turn away from her
Jewish Roots. We will do everything possible in order to restore the church
to her Biblical Jewish Roots as it was at the beginning in the First Century
Church. We repent before God for this historical SIN of our Forefathers,
and we apologize, and humbly ask forgiveness from the people of the
Jewish nation and state of Israel. Many Greeks helped and hid Jews
during World War II at the risk of their lives. But Greek church fathers
did error SINFULLY in their unorthodox anti-Jewish theology, which did
result in the Replacement Theology, and laid the foundation of Christian
Anti-Semitism that resulted in genocide of the Chosen People of God, and
caused enormous grief and affliction to the Jewish nation during history.
7) We apologize,
and humbly ask forgiveness, as Greek and/or Gentile
Christians, because on November 29, 1947, when voting took place in
the UN for the creation of the restored modern state of Israel, the Greek
government put forth, as did other Gentile nations, a negative vote. We
did not abstain nor put a positive vote, but a negative one! We consider
that this was a SIN, and that we acted against the plan of God. We do
hereby repent of this attitude.
8) We separate
ourselves from, and we condemn every future political
action or actions of any other kind, or decisions or attitudes that our
governments, organizations, or our own people may take, which are in
opposition to the Word of God concerning the Jewish people.
9) We humbly ask
from our Jewish brothers and sisters to accept this
hand of friendship that we extend to them by this orthodox covenant and
that they make together with us this particular covenant of love and unity.
10) We desire with
all our heart that the people of the earth will refer
anymore in the future not only to the covenant of love between David
and Jonathan, saying “a Covenant as that of David and Jonathan”, but
will also speak about “a covenant as the one between Jews and Greeks”,
considering the latter an equivalent expression of love and unity.
The Jewish
believers who want to accept this covenant we ask that they
sign their names at the end of this page together with all Greek believers,
or believers from other nations who want to do this treaty (covenant).
We believe this to
be Orthodox, true, and right belief. We believe that
by subscribing to this Jew & Greek Covenant that we are doing something
that is within the perfect plan of God for the restoration of all things
(Acts 3:20-21). We believe as we subscribe to this Covenant, that we find
ourselves in a cardinal point of history, when the will of God for the unity of
Jewish and Greek believers will be accomplished. As we subscribe to this
Covenant, we believe that we are promoting a God ordained reconciliation
not only between our two nations, but a larger reconciliation, acceptance
and unity in the Church (the Body of Christ) between its Jewish and Gentile
branches, since the Greeks, according to apostle Paul’s thoughts represent
all Gentiles (Romans 1:16).
By subscribing to,
and promoting this Jew & Greek Covenant, we believe
and desire an acceptance of the Jewish people as a blessed people from
all the people of the earth. From such an attitude depends the blessing of
all humanity according the promise of God to Abraham: “And I will bless
them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall
all families of the earth be blessed” (Genesis 12:3).
We pray and we
invoke our Heavenly Father, in the name of our mutual
and Only Lord Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit, that He may watch over
this solemn promise we make in front of Him, and that He may bless it.
May He judge those who violate it. May He bless both our nations. We
ask for the blessing of Abraham to come upon us, according to the promise
of God in Genesis 12:1-3. The message of the Gospel of Yeshua
haMashiach (Jesus Christ) is to the Jew first and to the Greek. Amen.

The One and ONLY TRUE GOD identified Himself as the God of Israel, when
The I AM, The Lord Jesus Christ, led His chosen people Israel from slavery to
freedom. Any and all gods other than the God of Israel is a false god.
I am thankful to God that a group of Greek Brethren in Athens Greece, heard
clearly what the Spirit is saying unto the Churches, and drafted the above
historic JEW AND GREEK COVENANT OF 2010. It is right, and truly biblical,
and truly Orthodox in every sense of the word. The vital nature of this covenant
could not be overstated among those who would dare to claim to be Christian
believers. It is right to repent of our sins and the sins of our fathers as we
see
in the great example of Daniel's prayer chapter 9. The oldest and deepest roots
and greatest schism in the history of the Church, the roots of Christian
anti-Semitism, and the roots of the abominable heresy of what has come to be
called Replacement Theology are traced to the so-called Greek Church Fathers.
The first Roman Catholic pope, Constantine, in the Fourth Century made this
greatest and oldest schism official in the Council of Nicea in 325 AD. Vatican
Roma
is directly responsible for the blood of over 200 MILLION martyrs of the true
Church
of The Lord Jesus Christ.
The word GENTILE sometimes is the translation and meaning of the Greek word
ETHNOS, which means a nation or people, specifically someone who is not
Jewish. The antichrist luciferian plan of the New World Order is divide and
conquer putting ETHNOS AGAINST ETHNOS, race against race. That is part
of how Obama became the Fraud-In-Chief to occupy the Whitehouse, with an
election that was driven by unbridled racism.
The most common meaning of the word GREEK (hellenis) in the New Testament is
someone who is not from the house of Israel or Hebrew nation. It is often
shocking for
people to realize the most common use of the New Testament word JEWS is to
distinguish
a small group of Judean Jews attached to the Temple Mount Complex FROM THE
REST OF THE JEWISH NATION. In these last days of strong delusion, with the
majority being false prophets, and false teachers, in the great apostasy, it is
important
for the saints scattered abroad to understand such word meanings and usage in
the
New Testament. Otherwise it becomes easy for these wolves to take things out of
context, to become pretexts of demonic doctrines such as Jew hate and blaming
everything on the Jews, rather than seeking the grace of God evidenced in
personal
repentance, love of the truth, and holiness. In these last days of strong
delusion to
partake of the devil's bait of Jew Hate is DEADLY.
Pray about this. Ask your
trustworthy Teacher, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, The
Spirit of Messiah. After seeking understanding from the Holy Spirit of Truth, I
hope that
all truly born again believers would recognize the foundational definition of
the word Israel,
as being one who is BORN AGAIN, as Jacob was born again to become Israel, and
never
walked the same. Gen 32:28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob,
but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast
prevailed.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons
of
God, even to them that believe on his name: That by the new birth of the New
Covenant
in Messiah, we become part of the family of God called Israel, and would
therefore be
privileged to surname ourselves with God’s great and holy name Israel. Isa 44:5
One
shall say, I am the Lord's; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob;
and
another shall subscribe with his hand unto the LORD, and surname himself by the
name
of Israel. Psa 107:2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed
from the hand of the enemy;
This is so important that I am
going to say it as plainly as I know how to say it – The
Jew haters, who claim to be Christians, are not saved, and will find the extra
crispy
section of hell. Christians KNOW better. People who are born again know better.
Racism
in any form is a work of iniquity. God is no respecter of persons and God did
not make
any second class human beings. We must have the blessings of the God of Jacob to
endure to the end of this Time of Jacob’s Trouble. God’s eternal purpose in the
earth
is the Church, the ecclesia, the called out ones, the body of Messiah. However,
any
Church, which does not identify with, and recognize they are grafted in
branches, to
the root of that planting of the Lord called Israel, is not a true Church. God
can not lie,
and He does not change. It is every bit as true today as when God said this to
Abraham
in Genesis 12:3 - And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that
curseth thee:
and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
The word GREEK in the New
Testament can refer to either someone from the
nation of Greece or to someone who speaks the language of Greek as in Acts
21:37.
Prior to the Roman Empire, Alexander the Great created a Greek empire that
stretched far across the known world at that time. Greek became the language
of trade between the various nations. Greek was the common language of the
common man, such as the Apostles whom the Lord chose to have the gifting of
absolute infallibility in the proclamation of the Gospel.
To the Jews, who were conquered
by Alexander, a Greek was then any foreigner,
because almost all foreigners spoke Greek, otherwise they were called
barbarians,
if they could not speak Greek. It is clear in Mark 7:26 - The woman was a Greek,
a Syro-Phoenician by birth, and she kept asking Him to cast the demon out of her
daughter. The woman was a Phoenician born in Syria, she was considered to be a
Greek. When it states that Timothy's father was a Greek, it most likely means he
was of the Greek nationality in Acts 16. When used in contrast to JEW, the word
GREEK means a non-Jew, such as, Romans 2:9-10 - tribulation and anguish, on
every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; but
glory,
honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also
to the Greek. OR such as Rom 1:16 - For I am not ashamed of the gospel of
Christ:
for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the
Jew first,
and also to the Greek. And that is the MOST common use of the New Testament word
GREEK. Yes, the most common use of the word GREEK in the New Testament is
in reference to someone not Jewish, and is used in the sense of a foreigner in
relation to someone who is Jewish. Since the New Testament refers to Christians
as spiritual Israel, it also uses the word GREEK as a synonym for Gentiles, or
as
a synonym for non-Christians like in I Thess 4:5 and I Peter 4:3. However, these
are
not the common meaning and usage and we should not be in confusion regarding
the most common meaning and usage of the word GREEK in the New Testament is
a Gentile or someone who is not Jewish.
The Greek Christian Friends of
Israel have put together the JEW AND GREEK
TREATY OF 2010. I think everyone who is truly born again by the Spirit of
Christ,
in their heart will subscribe to this treaty, whether they have ever heard of it
or not.
Otherwise in these last days they will NOT be enabled to endure to the end of
this
time of Jacob's Trouble. It is right that some Greek Christians, most of whom
live in
Athens, be the ones to renew such a Jew & Greek Covenant in this time. It was
the
Greek Church Fathers who came up with the original heresies regarding how the
Church somehow replaced Israel. It was the Greek Church Fathers who gave the
first pope Constantine the demonic theology of Jew hate and the greatest and
oldest
of schisms. In these last days it is vitally important that the faithful remnant
body of
Christ, clearly understand these things.
According to Josephus’ account,
only Parmenio had the courage to ask the question
that all of Alexander’s generals wanted to ask. He asked Alexander, why, when
all of
his generals, and the kings which Alexander had conquered worshipped Alexander,
why
was it that Alexander had FIRST saluted the Jewish high priest? Why would he
FIRST
give honor to the Jewish high priest?
Alexander answered, “I did not
adore him, but that God who hath honored him with
his high priesthood; for I saw this very person in a dream, in this very habit,
when I
was at Dios in Macedonia, who, when I was considering with myself how I might
obtain the dominion of Asia. He exhorted me to make no delay, but boldly to pass
over the sea thither, for that he would conduct my army, and would give me the
dominion over the Persians; whence it is that, having seen no other in that
habit,
and now seeing this person in it, and remembering that vision, and the
exhortation
which I had in my dream, I believe that I bring this army under the Divine
conduct,
and shall therewith conquer Darius, and destroy the power of the Persians, and
that all things will succeed according to what is in my own mind."
Alexander gave the high priest
his right hand. The priests respectfully walked along
beside Alexander as he came into the city. When Alexander went up into the
temple,
he offered sacrifice to God, according to the high priest's direction. Alexander
treated
both the high priest and the priests of Israel with honor and respect. The
priests of
Israel then showed Alexander the Book of Daniel where Daniel had declared that
one of the Greeks should conquer the empire of the Persians. Alexander was
thereby
encouraged by the priests of Israel that Alexander was the person to whom Daniel
had referred.
The Septuagint, LXX, the Greek
translation of the Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures
was NOT written BEFORE the advent of Messiah. The Septuagint has been proven
to be the work of Origen in the third century AD. The myth of the BC origin of
the
Septuagint is perhaps the greatest and most universally promoted FRAUD among
scholars who should know better. However, there are some other very important
facts of BC history, which should be considered in these last days of strong
delusion.
We should see, just as in the
example of Cyrus, as Isaiah 44 & 45 had prophesied
150 years before Cyrus was born, that God had also prepared the way for
Alexander.
We should again see in Alexander the Great, another stunning proof of how it is
God
who sets up kings and God who brings them down. It is also very important that
we
see that it was the will of God, that when the fullness of His revelation would
be made
to mankind, in the person of His Only Begotten Son, Yeshua THE Messiah, that
there
would be an international language of Greek to facilitate the spread of such
good news
in the world. Still much more importantly, we see how that the Greek language
with its
fullness, precision, and explicitness, in which linguistically, Hebrew simply
cannot be
compared, had been ordained by God for the record of the fullness of the New
Testament revelation. The God of Israel obviously had ordained that Greek be the
international language for the Doctrine of Messiah, and Doctrine of the
Apostles, at
the first coming of the Messiah. We should also KNOW that God did keep His
promise
of inspiring, PRESERVING, and even purifying His Word in its PERFECT form in the
international language of the Messiah’s second coming, English.
We all can rejoice to know that
we have the word of God, that we have the word of God,
in the God promised PERFECT Holy Bible, the KJV, which I like to call the King
Jesus
Version. We see the PROOF that the seventh and final purification in English,
that
Hebrew-Greek, Jew-Gentile, KJV was inspired, preserved, and purified, OUTSIDE OF
LINEAR TIME, as only the Omniscient God of Israel could possibly do.
Throughout the Diaspora there
may be seen in ancient Synagogue floor mosaics, from
the time of Messiah’s first advent, a stunning theme. Those ancient Synagogue
mosaics were in GREEK themes. The Synagogues in the Diaspora in the First
Century
AD were great places of learning. Multitudes of God-fearing, Greek-speaking
Gentiles,
found much greater wisdom in the monotheism and morality of Israel, than could
possibly
be found in the debauched polytheism of paganism. This was true before and
during the
first and second centuries. Multitudes of Greek speaking Gentiles were part of
the
Jewish synagogues throughout the world. Acts 15:21 states explicitly, For Moses
of old
time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every
Sabbath
day.
There are many who say that
Greek and Hebrew cultures are polar opposites.
However, to say that it is NOT the revealed will of God that both Jews and
Greeks
become ONE, in the New Creature, is WRONG. There are, in these last days of
strong delusion, some deceived deceivers who would say Hebrew is good and
Greek is bad. That is IN OPPOSITION TO THE REVEALED WILL OF GOD. One of
the great strengths of the First Century Church of the Apostolic age was the
bringing
together of BOTH the Greek and Hebrew in the one new creature. The Hebrew
Apostles wrote the last 27 books of the word of God in GREEK. Teachers saying
otherwise are ignorant, or else they are deceived, deceiving, deceivers. This is
an
important thing for saints to understand in these last days of strong
delusion.
The Biblical proof of the will
of God having East and West, Hebrew and Greek, Jew
and Gentile TOGETHER, can be traced all the way back to the flood. Ham did not
cover his father’s nakedness. Shem and Japheth did righteously, TOGETHER. Shem
and Japheth determined to solve the problem together. Shem is the ancestor of
the
Semitic or Hebrew tribes. Japheth became the father of the Greek, or
Indo-European
nations of Europe as well as Iran and even parts of India. All the way back to
the flood,
the will of God is revealed that the Jew and Greek TOGETHER can effectively
cover
the shame of the failures of the Church, and prevent the reconstruction of the
dividing
wall of hostility that Messiah came to tear down. Jew and Greek cooperation
forms
the spiritual balance ordained in the revealed will of God.
Eph 2:14-16 For he (Messiah
Yeshua) is our peace, who hath made BOTH ONE, and
hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in
his
flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances (Jewish
rabbinic, oral, and extra biblical additions of rabbinic traditions); for to
make IN HIMSELF
OF THE TWAIN ONE NEW MAN, so making peace; And that he might reconcile
BOTH unto God in ONE body by the CROSS, having slain the enmity thereby:
WOE BE UNTO THE RELIGIOUS
TRAFFICKERS WHO SEEK TO RECONSTRUCT
THAT DIVIDING WALL OF ENMITY WHICH MESSIAH ABOLISHED THROUGH THE
SACRIFICE OF HIS OWN BLOOD.
The collective or community way
of thinking and living is characteristic of the East,
or Semitic, or the Hebrew, ways of life. Individualism is characteristic of the
Western
or Greek thinking and life. The high-priestly calling is the only case where
both Hebrew
and Greek ways of collectivism and individualism come together for a great
spiritual
purpose. From Moses to Messiah, on the Day of Atonement, prior to the sacrifice
of
the once for ALL, PERFECT Sacrifice, of THE Lamb of God, the high priest was
seen
to blend BOTH. The high priest had the care and responsibility to carry the
burden of
intercession for all the tribes, which the twelve stones of the ephod on his
breast so
clearly did signify. However, on the Day of Atonement he would enter the Most
Holy
Place, inside the veil, ALONE. The high priest, whose burden was for the
spiritual well
being of ALL the people, enters into the Presence of God ALONE.
We see the FULL and PERFECT
fulfillment of the High-Priestly role in Messiah Yeshua,
our Passover sacrificed for us, on that Wednesday, Nissan 14, in 30 AD, in the
pattern
of observance of the Day of Atonement.
This should also be evident in
how Messiah Yeshua taught us to pray. Did He give us
some special language or some secret name to refer to God? NO. He opened the
way,
and ONLY He could open such a way, of the highest possible privilege, for the
born
sinner to have relationship with God as OUR FATHER. By NO means did Yeshua
Messiah give us a secret name or special way to pronounce a secret name, or some
special religious formality. Yeshua taught us, But thou, when thou prayest,
enter into
thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in
secret; and
thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use
not
vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for
their
much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what
things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our
Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Mat 6:6-9.
I hope you can see how our
Great High-Priest, by how He taught us to pray what is
commonly called the Lord’s Prayer, is a high-priestly calling for ALL BELIEVERS.
He
hath made us, past tense, done deal, kings & PRIESTS unto God. Only, The Son of
God could so instruct us in prayer. He instructs us to enter ALONE into the
inner
room and close the door to the eyes and ears of the community, but at the same
time preserve a collective Spirit of Care for the community by praying, OUR
FATHER.
Alleluia Yeshua. The great privilege of RELATIONSHIP to God is given through
repentance and faith in His ONCE for ALL sacrifice. Believers have relationship
with
God by faith in the sacrifice of which Abraham prophesied, that God would
provide
HIMSELF, a Lamb. The FAITH is in the sacrifice of our Great High-Priest, of the
Melchisedec priesthood order, and the evidence of righteous actions proceeds
from
this faith.
The FAITH of Yeshua Messiah
combines both the Jewish collective way and the
Greek individual way. The BELIEVER, IN the Faith of Messiah, is neither Jew nor
Greek. The BELIEVER, IN the Faith of Messiah becomes a Jew-Greek or
Greek-Jew BOTH at the same time. The Jew-Greek is the NEW Creature, which
the Scriptures clearly teach to be the revealed Will of God, for BOTH Jew and
Gentile believers in Messiah Yeshua.
Paul’s choice of Timothy is
another confirmation of this revelation of the Will of God,
for Jews and Greeks to be TOGETHER in one body. Acts 16:1 Then came he to
Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus,
the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was
a Greek: Timothy is both Jew AND Greek at the same time. Paul saw the two
elements of East and West, of collectivity and individualism, of spirit and
truth,
of wisdom and signs, finally Japheth and Shem in the same believer. This is the
kind of man upon whom and in whom Paul invests everything.
Further confirmation of this
revealed will of God is seen in the selection of deacons.
The names of the seven Jewish believers, which were selected by the Jerusalem
Church to aid at the daily serving of food to the widows, are Greek names. This
indicates that they were Diaspora Jews, speaking ONLY Greek and raised in a more
or less Greek cultural environment of some city around the Mediterranean.
Stephen
was one of them, but it is clear that the assigned task was not his only role.
He was
probably already a leader in some Greek-speaking Synagogue in the Diaspora.
Since
only Nicolas is called a proselyte, the other six including Stephen were Jews by
birth.
Stephen, a Greek-SPEAKING Jew,
became the first martyr of the faith in Messiah. The
wisdom AND the Spirit with which Stephen spoke illustrates once more the
Greek-Jew
combination of God ordained balance. This Hebrew-Greek character in a believer,
or a
Church, or a leader has great effects compared with the boredom produced by
congregations, which rely only on wisdom, or with the heresy produced by
congregations,
which rely only on spiritual manifestations.
Acts 6:8-10 And Stephen, full
of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles
among the people. Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the
synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of
Cilicia
and of Asia, disputing with Stephen. And they were not able to resist the wisdom
AND the spirit by which he spake.
Consider what Yeshua taught to
the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well. With His teaching
He dispensed quickly with the arguments of the manner and place of worship. He
said,
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the
Father in
spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a
Spirit: and they
that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:23-24.
The study of the Scriptures
starts as an intellectual process of wisdom before there
can be understanding. The power, on the other hand, has little to do with
understanding,
and has its source in the spiritual worship of Messiah from the depths of the
heart. It is
very common in today’s denominational reality to find groups with a heavy
background
of biblical study which lack the Power of the Spirit, and others who have
manifestations
of this power in their lives but are often inclined to fall into heresy and the
destructive
workings of deceiving counterfeit spirits.
It should be obvious from the
Scriptures that Christ intends to create a new person in
every believer. This new person has to be open to receive BOTH the Jewish AND
the Greek spiritual natures in order to become balanced. Prejudice, being one
sided,
the lack of thinking, exclusivist hardness, including Messianic hardness, and
other
forms of holier than thouism, will only hinder the process of spiritual growth
and
fulfillment of the calling of God in the congregation or individual believer.
This truth
needs to be comprehended as much as any other - Gal 3:28-29 - There is neither
Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female:
for
ye are all ONE in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's
seed,
and heirs according to the promise.
This does not mean that
suddenly the characteristics of the Jew and Greek evaporate,
or that the characteristics of the slave and the free disappear, or that the
sexes exist
no more. What it DOES mean is that the spiritual characteristics of BOTH are to
be
brought together and combined in a God ordained order. The Jew approaches the
Greek, and the Greek approaches the Jew, and BOTH bring together strength to
one another, to form a God ordained alloy of strength, to accomplish the Will
and
Purposes of God. BOTH Hebrew and Greek alloy their spiritual cultures wherein
their original elements remain intact, like sugar disperses in water with both
kinds
of molecules being present at the same time in the new solution. The free man
becomes
a slave of Christ, and the slave becomes God’s free man in Christ. The male and
the
female unite becoming one flesh, connecting their opposite emotional make-ups to
be a new creation in the married couple.
The abominations being done
in Jerusalem by the PERES horns of the Gentiles are many.
The devastating effects of the PERES abominations have already led to weakness,
suffering, and certain sudden destruction, if the people of Israel do not soon
rise up
to lock up the PERES horns, including Netanyahu, and all of their partners in
