HOSEA
Hosea ministered in the Northern kingdom of Israel at the same time that Isaiah was ministering in Judah. The time frame of Hosea's ministry was 750-725BC. His own personal experience with his unfaithrul harlot wife Gomer pictured God's view of the unfaithfulness of Israel. Israel would go into captivity and separation for a time yet God's eternal love would ultimately bring restoration.
Hosea 2:18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the
beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and
[with] the creeping things of the ground: and I will break
the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and
will make them to lie down safely.
HERE IS THE GREAT MESSAGE OF HOPE. SOME TIME IN THE DISTANT FUTURE, GOD WOULD AGAIN MAKE ISRAEL HIS COVENANT PEOPLE AND GIVE THEM EVERLASTING PEACE. WE ARE WITNESSING THE BEGINNING OF THE FULFILLMENT OF THIS PROMISE. ISRAEL IS BEING REGATHERED FROM THE DISPERSION. THE PEACE TREATY WITH ANTICHRIST WILL COME FIRST. It will BE BROKEN IN 3 1/2 YEARS AND 3 1/2 YEARS LATER CHRIST WILL COME TO PUT DOWN THE ARMIES OF ANTICHRIST AND SET UP HIS MILLENNIAL KINGDOM HERE. ISRAEL'S ARMY TODAY IS THE ONLY UNDEFEATABLE ARMY BECAUSE GOD IS ON ISRAEL'S SIDE AGAIN.
Hosea 2:23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have
mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say
to [them which were] not my people, Thou [art] my people;
and they shall say, [Thou art] my God.
OUR GENERATION IS WITHOUT QUESTION THE GENERATION WHICH IS WITNESSING THE FULFILLMENT OF THIS PROPHESY. WE ARE WITNESSING ISRAEL BEING REGATHERED IN THEIR HOMELAND AFTER 2000 YEARS OF DISPERSION.
Hosea 4:1-2 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the
LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land,
because [there is] no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of
God in the land.
By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and
committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth
blood.
IS THIS ALSO AN ACCURATE DESCRIPTION OF THE CONDITIONS IN OUR LAND TODAY AS WELL?
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:
because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject
thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast
forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy
children.
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT VERSE IN THE BOOK OF HOSEA. GOD'S PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE. THIS IS THE ONLY REASON THAT GOD'S PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED. WHAT KNOWLEDGE IS GOD TALKING ABOUT? THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD'S WORD. WHEN GOD'S PEOPLE REJECT GOD'S WORD, THEN THEY HAVE REJECTED GOD AND THEY ARE DESTROYED. WHEN ONE REJECTS THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD'S WORD AND FORGETS THE LAWS OF GOD THEN DESTRUCTION WILL RESULT.
Hosea 4:18 Their drink is sour: they have committed whoredom
continually: her rulers [with] shame do love, Give ye.
It is sad to find the leaders of any nation PROMOTING SODOMITES AND ABORTION. HOMOSEXUALS ARE SODOMITES AND SODOMY IS SIN. ABORTION IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS SACRIFICING CHILDREN TO MOLECH. ACCORDING TO WHAT THE WORD OF GOD CLEARLY TEACHES THESE ARE SERIOUS SINS. WHEN A NATION'S RULERS DEARLY LOVE SHAMEFUL WAYS THAT NATION WILL BE SWEPT AWAY.
Hosea 5:4 They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God:
for the spirit of whoredoms [is] in the midst of them, and
they have not known the LORD.
THEIR DEEDS DO NOT PERMIT THEM TO RETURN TO THEIR GOD. A SPIRIT OF PROSTITUTION IS IN THEIR HEART AND THEY DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THE LORD.
Hosea 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge
of God more than burnt offerings.
GOD WANTS US TO BE MERCIFUL. WE NEED TO HAVE FORGIVING AND COMPASSIONATE HEARTS. THIS IS MORE IMPORTANT TO GOD THAN ANY FORM OF SACRIFICE. THE PURSUIT OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE WORD OF GOD IS MORE DESIRABLE TO GOD THAN BURNT OFFERINGS.
Hosea 7:3 They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the
princes with their lies.
IT IS A LIE TO SAY THAT HOMOSEXUALITY IS NATURAL FOR ANYONE. IT IS A LIE TO SAY THAT ABORTION DOES NOT KILL A BABY. YET OUR PRESIDENT IS GLAD TO PROMOTE THE RIGHTS OF SODOMITES AND THE RIGHT OF WOMEN TO KILL THEIR UNBORN BABIES.
Hosea 7:13 Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction
unto them! because they have transgressed against me:
though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies
against me.
WOE UNTO US! IF THIS NATION CONTINUES TO FORSAKE GOD IT IS HEADED FOR DESTRUCTION. WE MUST FORCE OURSELF TO SEE THE TRUTH THAT DESTRUCTION COULD COME AT ANY MOMENT THAT
RUSSIA LAUNCHES A FIRST STRIKE STRATEGIC NUCLEAR ATTACK. THE "BREAK-UP" OF THE SOVIET UNION HAS NO EFFECT OTHER THAN TO INCREASE THE LIKELIHOOD OF A FIRST STRIKE STRATEGIC NUCLEAR ATTACK. THIS IS NOT WHAT WE WANT TO HEAR OR THINK ABOUT BUT IT IS THE TRUTH THAT WE MUST BE TOLD.
Hosea 8:7 For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the
whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal:
if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.
IF YOU SOW THE WIND, YOU SHALL REAP THE WHIRLWIND.
Hosea 9:7 The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence
are come; Israel shall know [it]: the prophet [is] a fool,
the spiritual man [is] mad, for the multitude of thine
iniquity, and the great hatred.
IN OUR LAND TODAY IS THE PROPHET CONSIDERED A FOOL? BECAUSE OF THE WAY THAT WICKEDNESS HAS MULTIPLIED IN THIS NATION, AND THE REJECTION TO THE POINT OF HATRED OF GOD AND GOD'S PRINCIPLES, THE SPIRITUAL MAN OF GOD IS CONSIDERED CRAZY.
