Preparing for Great Tribulation
Isa 30:15 For thus saith the L-rd G-d, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.
Mat 24:15-16 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
Mat 24:26-27 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
2 Tim 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
1 Tim 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Isa 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy G-d: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
One of the greatest men of G-d, whom I have been privileged to meet, is Colonel Jim Ammerman. "Heaven is not that bad!" His little one liner is great preparation for great tribulation. Remember, even when your life is threatened, "Heaven is not that bad!" His son Steve has also put a good twist on an expression from the Vietnam war "Love 'em all and let G-d sort 'em out." We must remember that soon, at the end of the 42 month war with the anti-messiah, the King of Righteousness will establish His Kingdom over all the earth. We have a part in that Kingdom. Truly, "Heaven is not that bad."
Another man of G-d, whom I greatly respect is David Wilkerson. David Wilkerson explains to us the fact that "our communion with G-d isn't restricted to worship, praise, or prayer. Our communion with Him also includes trusting Him. The Holy Spirit "speaks" mostly by leading us to pertinent scripture passages, showing us G-d's mind on any matter and telling us what steps to take. Why should He speak with an inner voice when we will not "hear" His revealed written voice? The fact is that G-d doesn't have to tell us everything for us to have intimacy with Him. He doesn't have to reveal all of His plans to us. In fact we can have intimacy with G-d simply by giving up our efforts to figure out His voice. This kind of intimacy says, 'L-rd, even if I never hear another word from you, you've still given me everything I need. I know you love me - your word has come to me - and I'm going to rest in that.' There is no reply necessary!"
The Word of Truth destroys fear of the future. As we know the truths of the Bible regarding the last days, we will be prepared to stand up for Yeshua. It should not be frightening to know the way things are going to be. The L-rd ordained the perfection of His Word. It will be fulfilled so it should be taught and believed.
To know the L-rd is not coming for the church immediately should not encourage a person to become careless about living a G-dly life. Even though the L-rd is not coming for the church until all is fulfilled, does not mean He will not allow saints to die (Matthew 24:48-51). A person's first priority is to keep his or her lamp filled with oil, trimmed and burning all the time (Matthew 25:1-13).
CONSIDER WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT
Our standing true to Yeshua in the last days depends on being well prepared to battle against all the forces of Satan.
Cover yourself with G-d's protection (Ephesians 6:10-18). Finally, my brethren, be strong in the L-rd, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of G-d, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of G-d, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Evil forces will suggest other priorities which might seem reasonable at the moment but will leave us vulnerable to evil and weaken us spiritually, causing us to grow weary in well doing. It will be possible to stand true with the help of the L-rd. When Yeshua Himself directly battled Satan, He would say "It is written.....It is written.....It is written....."
WATCH AND PRAY
Yeshua Himself told His disciples in the garden, "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." (Matthew 26:41). To watch suggests being on guard and being aware of what is happening around you. Consequently, to watch in these last days, means that you will be aware of the signs that are happening prior to the actual arrival of our L-rd. According to G-d's Word it is going to become the policy of all nations to hate the followers of Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ).
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall arise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved" (Matthew 24:10-13)
The the love of most will grow cold.
Do not feel sorry for yourself if you are attacked for being a Christian. If you suffer for being a Christian, it proves that the glory of G-d rests on you (I Peter 4:14). Watching against the world, the flesh and the Devil is commanded by the L-rd.
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Be careful, or your hearts will be weighted down with dissipation, drunkenness, and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap. For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth." (Luke 21:34-35).
Yielding to temptation is the natural result of the failure to watch and pray!
MEET WITH G-D'S PEOPLE
In the book of Hebrews, G-d gives an admonition instructing us to encourage one another.
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25).
It is clear from the Word that it will become more difficult to meet together with G-d's people as the day of the L-rd approaches. Under the antimessiah rule of the world, the gathering of G-d's people will become difficult. Because of those conditions the Christian is going to be tempted to allow his committed love for the L-rd and other Christians to grow cold. Put G-d first in all your priorities whatever your tomorrow's may bring. You begin doing this by first of all knowing that your sins are forgiven through our L-rd Yeshua Messiah. G-d hates sin, and you stand with G-d in confessing, admitting your sins, and asking G-d to forgive and cleanse sin from your life. After your life has been cleansed of the sins of the past, ask G-d to fill you with the Holy Spirit and yield your body to be used of Him (Romans 12:1, 2). You are made a "saint" (holy one) by the Holy Spirit living in you, giving you control of your life. You will have His help in keeping your priorities in the proper order. If you do not put G-d first at the present time, you will not likely choose to put Him first during the Great Tribulation, the persecution of the Christians. Settle it now to put G-d first, live for Him now and in the days to come.
LIVE YOUR LIFE FOR THE L-RD
There are those today who advocate the preparation for the Great Tribulation in a material sense. They are saying, "At any cost, buy an acreage out in the back country, make it self-sufficient with food, water and guns, and thereby be prepared to save yourself and your family." There is temptation to over emphasize physical preparations. Yet, faith without works is dead. Had Noah not physically prepared an ark, he too, would have perished in the flood. Get your directions from the L-rd. Beware of just trying to save the life of yourself and family. The Bible does say "He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it." (Matthew 10:39). However the L-rd also says that when we see the abomination of desolation that we need to be prepared to flee (Matthew 24:16) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: We need to understand that the safe place is where He wants us to be. That is the only safe place. The cities will be more dangerous.
Although this is a spiritual truth for all time, in the last days it will also be truth about physical self-preservation. A person who sets out to save himself during the coming distress that will cover the whole earth, will be so busy saving his earthly life, he will not be seeking the lost to bring them to Yeshua, or spreading the gospel at home and abroad as we are commanded to do. We need to pull all the stops and gather whatever we can to freely give, to those whom the L-rd will send us who will have extreme basic human needs. Whoever is determined to serve Messiah, obey Him and live for Him, will in the end save himself for eternity. The only safe place is in the perfect will of G-d. We hide in Messiah. As he gave all for the unworthy, we must give and reach out to the refugees that the L-rd will send to us. To save our life will be to lose it, and to lose our life will be to save it.
We must overcome our attachment to mammon (money) and the things of this world. We must come to an understanding of what Yeshua meant in Mathew 6:24-34. A big part of the great tribulation is to cause all people to make the final decision regarding whom they shall serve. That is why taking the mark of the beast in your right hand or forehead represents blasphemy of the Holy Ghost. If we stay true to G-d and refuse the mark of the beast we will not only be unable to buy and sell; but, we will be considered criminals. Understand what Yeshua means when He tells us "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, [shall he] not much more [clothe] you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof. (Matthew 6:24-34)
MEMORIZE THE WORD AND SPIRITUAL SONGS NOW
Promises from the Bible and words of hymns gave encouragement to men and women in the past who were imprisoned by their enemies. Men in confinement in Vietnam were able to save their sanity and encourage each other and keep hope alive by laboriously spelling out words of hymns and verses of Scripture by code and passing them on to fellow prisoners. The promises of G-d give inward strength. It is true that "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of G-d. (Matthew 4:4).
Store the Word of G-d, the Bible, in your mind and heart. memorize hymns and spiritual songs. If you have spiritual ears, you are commanded to listen to what the Spirit says to the seven churches in the second and third Chapters of Revelation. Yeshua has given a battle plan for His church in the war with the antimessiah. Has G-d given a Battle Plan for His people in their war with the antimessiah? Click here.
It is the overcomer who is commended by the L-rd. By G-d's grace through the L-rd Yeshua Messiah, the believer will stand faithful to Him in every circumstance of this world, "be thou faithful unto death," (Revelation 2:10).
Let the word of Messiah dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the L-rd. (Colossians 3:16).
PREPARE AND SAVE YOUR FAMILY
Prepare each member of your family in the same way you prepare yourself. Usually a question is asked by parents or grandparents regarding how to prepare younger children. It is a proper concern and as parents we are responsible. Preparation of children concerning the L-rd's coming is not something that should be postponed until a more convenient time.
Definite steps should be taken. First of all, teach your children early to receive Yeshua as Savior. Of course, it is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Yeshua that actually comes and lives in the child. Yeshua is personally there at the time the child receives Messiah. At the time of Paul's conversion in Acts 9:4-5 when Paul had been persecuting the Christians, Yeshua asked, "Why are you persecuting Me?" Yeshua personally dwells in the Christian. Some children will understand what it is to receive Messiah as their Savior by the age of three or four.
Second, teach your child the stories of Yeshua. Yeshua loves the little children and the Kingdom of G-d is made up of little children. Show them the love of Yeshua for each person. We must teach our children (and some adults) not to be afraid of Yeshua.
Third, teach your child about Angels. Angels are not always visible, however, many have testified that they have seen angels or have been protected by an angel. "The angel of the L-rd encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them" (Psalm 34:7). Angels also come in spirit form "Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?" (Hebrews 1:14).
If parents are taken from children for any earthly reason, and the children are left, they must understand about the glorious coming of the L-rd and exactly how they will be removed from the earth to heaven to be with the L-rd Yeshua. It is evident that the Angels will come to take them. Instruct them not to be afraid when the sun becomes black and all the other events that will happen at the time of His glorious coming for the elect (Matthew 24:29-31).
Concerning the time of His coming, Yeshua gave instructions that the angels will come and gather up G-d's people to be forever with the L-rd. Much prayer should be made before your teaching on this subject to prepare yourself as well as your child so that it will not be frightening.
Fourth, teach your child about the reality of life after physical death! Do not try to shield your child from the fact of our very short earthly life even at its longest. Yeshua at the grave of Lazarus said,
I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead (physically), yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. (in spirit) Believest thou this? " (John 11:25, 26)
Even though the Apostle Paul named death as the last enemy that will be put under Yeshua's feet, let us grasp this truth that Yeshua is the conqueror over every enemy including physical death.
Yeshua said in John 14:1-4,
Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in G-d, believe also in Me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am there you may be also".
Fifth, for older children and teens, teach your child about the unpardonable sin of the last days. The sin which will never be forgiven is taking the mark of the Beast and identifying yourself with and agreeing with the Beast Kingdom. The Beast political system is anti-Messiah and forms its own religion. Amazing but true! The Beast makes an idol to worship, instead of the G-d of Heaven. There will be no room for guessing here! People will take a mark on their forehead or right hand to indicate their allegiance. It will be required to participate in the world's economic system. To receive the mark or implant chip in the right hand or forehead is blaspheming the Holy Ghost. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. (Matthew 12:31) And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of G-d, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of G-d, and the faith of Yeshua. (Revelation 13:16-17 & 14:8-12) To give allegiance to the Beast system is unforgivable. There is precious little time to strengthen the things that remain, and lay up provisions in store.
When the antimessiah comes he will be proclaimed a messiah. Do not be influenced by the thinking of the world.
Be sure to tell your child that the tenure of the final antimessiah world ruler is limited to three and one-half years. This is the last half of the seven-year Great Tribulation which is a time of persecution of the Christians. But Messiah's kingdom will last forever which will replace the antimessiah kingdom. The L-rd, Himself, will come and take His people to be with Him and they will love and serve Him forever.
Sixth, for older children and teens, teach them about "captivity" and slavery. In the final days, Christians cannot take the mark of the Beast and therefore will not be able to buy or sell. Many may serve as slaves or servants to people who, for a short time, will rule the world. Being a slave should not make people feel guilty or fearful. The Word of G-d tells us (Revelation 13:10) that it will come to pass. Slavery is nothing new in the world. Read to your children the stories of Daniel and Joseph who were faithful to the L-rd in spite of being held as slaves. The three Hebrew men in the book of Daniel were thrown into the furnace of fire because they would not worship the idol made by Nebuchadnezzar. The fourth person walking with them in the furnace was the Son of G-d (Daniel 3:25).
Teach all your children that no matter what circumstances come to them as Christians G-d's promise is true:
He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you," so we may boldly say; "the L-rd is my helper, I will not fear. What can man do to me?" (Hebrews 13:5, 6). "Heaven is not that bad!"
KEEP CHRISTIAN ATTITUDES DURING PERSECUTION
As Christian adults our heart attitudes during persecution must be kept in line with the very clear Word of G-d. Knowing the truth of what is coming in the L-rd's plans for the last days should protect us from the enemy of our souls and a real temptation to be discouraged. It is very, very important for each Christian to recognize the Scripture admonitions to "watch and pray."
The right attitude will keep our hearts free from fear of, and hatred toward, our enemies. G-d has told us that He is the one who will take vengeance on our enemies.
Yeshua told His disciples, "Let not your heart be troubled..." (John 14:1) which may indicate that outwardly we may be troubled but we should never let the dread of circumstances in these last days get into our heart.
Mental discipline is extremely important. Do not tolerate murmuring or complaining in your own thinking. Firmly grasp, memorize, proclaim, and meditate on Phil 4:8-9. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things..... and the G-d of peace shall be with you.
Isa 26:3-4 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the L-rd for ever: for in the L-rd YEHWEH is everlasting strength:
In yourself FIRST do not tolerate murmuring and complaining. By your example encourage others to keep your mind stayed on G-d. G-d hates murmuring and complaining. Whatsoever things are true, honest, lovely, of good report, of virtue, worthy of praise, THINK ON THESE THINGS. This mental discipline is the way of finding and keeping peace in great tribulation. It involves discipline of your mind. A great persecution of Christians is coming on the entire world.
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. (Matthew 24:21).
This greatest of all tribulations must be connected to the 5th seal of Revelation and the one-world beast kingdom of Revelation Chapter 13. Nothing like it has ever happened in past history and certainly, with the L-rd reigning on earth during the millennium, it can never happen again.
Patience (In some translations "perseverance") is commanded by our L-rd. Among other admonitions Paul wrote to the Roman Christians to be "...patient in tribulation" (Romans 12:12). In Revelation the saints are called to "patient endurance and faithfulness" while under the most trying circumstances of the one-world beast kingdom (13:10 and 14:12 ).
NOT EVIL FOR EVIL
There will be much evil in the world in the last days. Christians should not be found guilty of doing evil things in the name of righteousness. "Recompense to no man evil for evil." (Romans 12:17). "But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters." (I Peter 4:15).
RETURNING GOOD FOR EVIL
"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" (Romans 12:21).
"Bless those who persecute you. Bless and curse not" (Romans 12:14). Is this not the difficult part of Christian living in a crooked and perverse world? If you can feed your enemy and give a drink of water to your enemy who is thirsty, you are at the point of commendation from our L-rd Yeshua.
A NEW COMMANDMENT
While Yeshua was with His apostles He gave them a new commandment of love for one another. But He also said, "... Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you." (Luke 6:27-28). Perhaps it was just such action as this that influenced the Pharisee Saul while he watched Stephen dying after being stoned. Stephen prayed that the guilt of their sin for stoning him would not be put on his killers.
The attitude of the apostles toward suffering should be noted. "They (the Sanhedrin) called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Yeshua, and let them go. The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name" (Acts 5:40-41).
LOOKING TO THE REWARD
There is a reward to the overcomer according to the seven letters to the churches in Revelation two and three. Yeshua Himself has told us,
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. (Matthew5:10-12).
You must do good to your enemies, not because they deserve it, but because you are good and your good deeds are coming from your good character in Messiah. It will prove what you are and you will be acceptable to G-d and rewarded by our L-rd Himself.
LOOKING TO OUR L-RD YESHUA
No Christian will be able to stand such persecution in his or her own strength. But we are not being asked to do that. The L-rd Yeshua speaks to the issue. He said to the Apostle Paul, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness" (II Corinthians 12:9)
Finally, there is an encouraging thought from the last verse in the gospel written by Matthew. Notice the words of our L-rd Yeshua who said, "...I am with you always, even to the end of the age." In the Greek text the words have more meaning even than the English translation. The words "I am" usually go side by side in the gospels but in this case they are divided, and "with you" is placed between them. so the literal text is, "I with you AM." See yourself, then, as completely surrounded by the great I AM, Yeshua Messiah our L-rd. He is faithful to be in our hearts and around us always.
PHYSICAL PREPARATIONS
Lay up in store some food. Beans, rice, wheat, and other easily stored foods should be brought in store. CAUTION! Whatever you gather is to be shared not hoarded. G-d's economic system is that as you give from your necessity, you will have enough. You will never be able to have enough unless your heart is set to share. Anything that you do for someone less fortunate, you do for King Yeshua. Be sure you do what the L-rd directs you. Different people will have different burdens for what to lay in store. This is by G-d's design so that His people will share with each other. Remember that unless you take the mark of the beast, which is blaspheming the Holy Spirit, and guarantees hell as your destiny, you will not be able to buy or sell. All paper assets, accounts, stocks, bonds, IRA's need to be converted to barterable items as soon as possible. Leaving assets in the world's financial system will allow these assets to be captured by the antimessiah system and will strengthen the temptation to take the mark of the beast in your right hand or forehead.
G-D'S WORD FOR OUR COMFORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT
1.Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of G-d, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the G-d of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Messiah Yeshua, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 5:6-10).
2. Who shall separate us from the love of Messiah? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of G-d, which is in MessiahYeshua our L-rd. (Romans 8:35-39).
3.G-d is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. (Psalm 46:1-3).
4. The eternal G-d is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them. (Deuteronomy 33:27).
5....fear not for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the rivers they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the L-rd your G-d, the holy one of Israel, your Savior (Isaiah 43:1, 3).
6.Do not fret because of evil men, or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, ...Trust in the L-rd and do good...Delight yourself in the L-rd...Commit your way to the L-rd...Trust in him...He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn...Be still before the L-rd and wait patiently for Him...Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret--it leads only to evil...but the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace (Psalm 37:1-11).
7.Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The L-rd is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. (Hebrews 13:5, 6).
8.Give us this day our daily bread. (Matthew 6:11).
9.Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy G-d: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10).
10.Thus saith the L-rd the King of Israel, and his redeemer the L-rd of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no G-d. And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them show unto them. Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a G-d beside me? yea, there is no G-d; I know not any. (Isaiah 44:6-8).
11. As thy days so shall thy strength be (Deuteronomy 33:25).
12....I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring and my blessing on your descendants (Isaiah 44:3b).
13.And G-d is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (2 Corinthians 9:8).
I would recommend you stay with the KJV. It is the most accurate translation we have. It is more simple to memorize. If you stay with the KJV it will stay longer and more accessibly in your mind. Since it sounds a little different than modern communication, it also helps children in knowing the word of G-d is special. It will help in developing higher regard for the word of G-d.
If G-d said it, it is powerfully true. If G-d said it, it is absolutely true. If G-d said it, I can stand and depend on it.
Gen 15:1 After these things the word of the L-rd came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
Gen 26:24 And the L-rd appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the G-d of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake.
